Notes on Operation of Horizontal Directional Drilling Rig
May 24, 2023| 1. Connect the pilot drill bit with the probe installed, the drill pipe and the power head, and confirm that the water nozzle of the drill bit and the drilling rig are unimpeded and there is no leakage before drilling into the construction.
2. Align the upper and lower joints of the drill pipe, and slowly turn the buckle while slowly feeding the power head, and do not overtighten it. Wipe the threaded buckle clean and apply threaded oil before fastening it.
3. The drilling speed should not be too fast, and the drilling speed should be reasonably selected according to the formation conditions.
4. Alkaline batteries should be used for the probe. After the batteries have been used once, they must not be used again.
5. When making inclined jacking, it is better to control the amount of each jacking at about 1m, and the curve should be gentle.
6. When the oil pressure of the diesel engine is abnormal, stop the engine for inspection (see its instruction manual).
7. When changing the displacement of the mud pump, it is not allowed to shift gears with speed.
8. Before shutting down, confirm that the operating handle of the drilling rig returns to the neutral position and the diesel engine is idling.
