Mr. Wang Peng, founder of Drillto, is a professor-level senior engineer and a member of the Trenchless Technology Professional Committee of the Geological Society of China. As a pioneer in domestic trenchless technology and a leader in the localization of trenchless equipment, he has dedicated nearly 30 years to the field. His work spans the entire value chain-from theoretical research and technical problem-solving to the industrialization of equipment-earning him recognition as a core driving force behind the localization of horizontal directional drilling (HDD) technology in China. In 1993, Mr. Wang spearheaded China's first research project on guided trenchless pipe-laying technology, laying the technical foundation for the industry. In October 2021, he was honored with the "HDD Outstanding Contribution Award" by the U.S.-China Joint Center for Trenchless Engineering during the 50th-anniversary commemoration of the invention of HDD technology. In 2023, he was named an industry leader and featured in an exclusive interview on CCTV.
The company currently operates engineering and technical research centers in both Shenzhen and Wuxi, with a combined team of 65 full-time R&D and engineering professionals-comprising 45 R&D specialists and 20 engineering experts. The team's expertise spans fields such as drilling engineering, mechatronics, geological engineering, electrical engineering and automation, and mechanical design. 90% of the team members hold a bachelor's degree or higher, and 60% possess intermediate or senior professional technical titles. Beyond their R&D capabilities, the team brings extensive, hands-on experience in trenchless construction, enabling them to provide customized drilling rig development and tailored trenchless construction solutions.
