How to extend the service life of High Speed Horizontal Drilling Rig coolant?
Jan 22, 2025| 1. Choose the right coolant: According to the use environment, working conditions and manufacturer's recommendations of the drilling rig, choose the right type and specification of coolant. High-quality coolant has better anti-corrosion, anti-wear, anti-oxidation and other properties, which can effectively extend the service life.
2. Check the coolant level regularly: Keep the coolant level within the normal range to avoid the cooling effect being reduced due to too low a level and the coolant being over-concentrated and deteriorating rapidly. Check the coolant level regularly and add it in time if the level drops.
3. Keep the cooling system clean: Dirt, rust and debris inside the cooling system will affect the heat dissipation effect and quality of the coolant and accelerate the aging of the coolant. Flush the cooling system regularly to remove internal sediments and impurities. Before adding coolant, make sure the cooling system is clean and free of impurities.
4. Prevent coolant leakage: Regularly check the various components of the cooling system, such as the radiator, water pump, water pipe joints, etc., to ensure that they are tightly connected and leak-free. Repair the leaks found in time to avoid coolant leakage causing the liquid level to drop and air to enter the cooling system, which will affect the performance and life of the coolant.
5. Control the working temperature: Avoid the rig working in a high temperature environment or high load for a long time. Excessive temperature will accelerate the evaporation and deterioration of the coolant. If the working environment temperature is high, appropriate cooling measures can be taken, such as adding ventilation equipment. At the same time, ensure that the heat dissipation components of the cooling system (such as radiators, cooling fans, etc.) work normally to maintain the normal temperature of the coolant.
6. Avoid mixing different types of coolants: Different types of coolants may have different ingredients and additives. Mixing may cause chemical reactions, reduce the performance of the coolant, and even cause precipitation, corrosion and other problems, shortening the service life of the coolant.
7. Change the coolant regularly: Change the coolant regularly according to the instruction manual of the rig or the recommendations of the coolant manufacturer. Even if the coolant seems to be able to be used normally, its performance will gradually decline over time. Regular replacement can ensure the good operation of the cooling system.
