How to judge whether the torque transmission efficiency of the horizontal directional drill is normal?
Jun 21, 2024| 1. Monitor drilling parameters: Compare the actual drilling speed, thrust and torque parameters with the normal performance indicators of the equipment under the same geological conditions and drilling requirements. If the drilling speed is significantly lower than expected, but the torque and thrust are large, it may indicate low torque transmission efficiency.
2. Check the equipment temperature: During the drilling process, check the temperature of the transmission components. If the temperature is too high, it may mean that the friction is increased and there is a problem with the torque transmission efficiency because too much energy is lost in the form of heat energy.
3. Listen for abnormal sounds: Pay attention to whether the transmission system has abnormal noise when working, such as sharp friction, impact or irregular vibration, which may indicate abnormal torque transmission.
4. Observe the mud condition: Observe the return of the mud. If the mud contains more metal debris or abnormal impurities, it may be that the transmission components are severely worn, affecting the torque transmission efficiency.
5. Compare energy consumption: Under the same drilling workload, compare the current energy consumption with the energy consumption during normal operation in the past. If the energy consumption increases significantly but the drilling effect does not improve, the torque transmission efficiency may be reduced.
6. Regular inspection: Use professional inspection equipment, such as torque sensors, vibration analyzers, etc., to regularly inspect and evaluate the torque transmission system.
7. Check the equipment maintenance records: Check the equipment maintenance records. If the necessary maintenance and parts replacement are not carried out for a long time, the torque transmission efficiency may be affected.
