Which parts of the horizontal directional drilling rig are prone to failure?

Jul 05, 2024|

1. Drive shaft: It may bend, crack or even break due to excessive torque or long-term fatigue.
2. Gear: Common problems include tooth surface wear, pitting, bonding and broken teeth, which affect the accurate transmission of torque.
3. Bearings: Long-term operation is prone to wear, fatigue peeling, bonding, etc., resulting in reduced rotation accuracy and increased noise.
4. Chain or belt: It may stretch, wear, and break, resulting in transmission failure.
5. Clutch: Clutch plate wear, pressure plate spring failure, etc., will cause incomplete clutch or slippage, affecting torque transmission.
6. Seals: Such as oil seals, sealing rings, etc., are prone to aging, wear or damage, resulting in lubricating oil leakage, which in turn affects the lubrication and normal operation of components.
7. Spline shaft and spline sleeve: Frequent torque transmission may cause spline wear and deformation, affecting the matching accuracy and torque transmission effect.
8. Planetary gears and planetary carriers inside the reducer: Gear wear, planetary carrier deformation and other faults may occur.
